3 Yummy Tiffin Lunch Recipes for Toddlers, Kids

Do you run out of ideas for your child’s tiffin lunch? Do you fret and fume when your kids comes home with an un touched tiffin or lunch and then later blame yourself for not giving your child variety and tasty stuff? Yes, it is true – a child would love to have some variety in his tiffin. So here are some ideas for lunch recipes for your toddlers that would tempt your little one to taste.
Lunch Recipes for Toddlers
1. Paneer Corn Bread Delight
Recipe Ingredients:
- 2 slices whole wheat bread
- 1 tbsp capsicum
- 1 tbsp red bell pepper
- 1 tbsp yellow pepper
- 1/2 cup chopped tomato
- 2 tbsp grated paneer
- 1 tsp olive oil
- ¼ tsp black pepper powder-
- 1/2 tsp, oregano
- 1 tbsp, boiled corn
- 1 tbsp carrot, grated
- Salt
Method of Prep]aration:
In a pan, add some oil and then add chopped tomatoes.
Cook till it turns thick, somewhat like a puree.
Now add bell pepper, carrot, black pepper, salt and oregano.Add boiled corn and cook for 2 mins.
Remove from heat.
Now take 2 slices of bread and slice them into 2 triangular pieces. Place the filling on top of a triangular piece and sprinkle paneer on top.
Place it in a pan and let the bread turn brown and crispy from below.
2. Hung Curd Veggie Roll
Recipe Ingredients:
- 1 whole wheat roti
- 1 grated carrot
- ½ shredded cabbage
- ¼ beetroot chopped
- 1 egg (for the omelette) – you can skip this in case you are a vegetarian
For the Spread
- 1 cup hung curd
- 2 garlic cloves crushed
- 1 tsp olive oil
- ½ tsp black pepper powder
- ½ tsp dried basil
- 10 crushed mint leaves
- ½ tsp lemon juice
- ¼ tsp white pepper powder
- Salt to taste
Method of Preparation:
Wash all the veggies, chop and place aside.
Beat an egg, add black pepper and salt and make a simpleomelette.
Now for the spread: Mix together all the above mentioned ingredients.
Now take a whole wheat roti,place the omeletteon it and then the spread – level the spread out evenly over the egg.
Add all the chopped veggies on one side of this loaded roti and start rolling – that’s it, your hung curd vegetable roll is ready.
3. Coriander Corn Tikkis:
Recipe Ingredients
- 1 cup green moong dal (soaked overnight)
- 1 cup corn kernels,boiled
- 2 tbsp chopped coriander
- 1 tsp lemon juice
- 2 tbsp spring onion chopped
- 1/2 tsp cumin powder
- ¼ tsp red chilli powder
- 1/2 tsp ginger garlic paste
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- Salt to taste
Method of Preparation
Start by draining all the water from the soaked dal and then grind the moong dal and corn kernels together.
Now mix in all the remaining ingredients with the moong dal and corn mixture.
Make small tikkis and fry on medium flame till golden brown.
Pack in some green chutney too.
