7-Year-Old Missing Since ...
A 7-year-old boy, kidnapped from his Atlanta home on November 27, 2017, has been reportedly located after 7 years. Abdul Aziz Khan, who is now 14, was found in Colorado. Two people have been taken into custody in connection with allegedly kidnapping the child, and shockingly, one of them is related to Aziz by blood. Read to know more.
Aziz’s family lived in Louisiana but he had to move to New Orleans with his mom Rabia when she got a new job. According to the National Centre for Missing and Exploited Children, Rabia and Aziz’s father, Abdul, entered into a bitter legal battle for his custody after she made it difficult for him to see his child.
Abdul told NCMEC that despite the long distance between him and his son, he always tried to spend time with him. "I made my whole work schedule around Aziz," shared Abdul. "I'd visit him every other weekend and I would bring him to New Orleans so he could be with his family."
Days before the hearing, the Centre revealed it was clear that Rabia would lose the custody battle and this is when she allegedly decided to kidnap the little boy.

In late February, a ‘burglary in progress’ was reported in a home in Highlands Ranch. The homeowner had reportedly spotted 2 suspicious persons entering his vacant property, which had been listed for sale, through a security camera. The deputies arrived there only to find 2 children playing in the driveway. The two suspects, a man and a woman, both in their early 40s, rushed out of the house and claimed that they were affiliated with the realtor.
After 4 hours of investigation, the deputies identified the woman as 40-year-old Rabia Khalid and the man as her 2nd husband, 42-year-old Elliot Blake Bourgeois. Subsequently, one of the children whom the deputies had seen playing on the driveway was identified as Aziz.
While the investigations are in progress, Aziz’s family has also released their statement “We’re overwhelmed with joy that Aziz has finally been found. We want to thank everyone for their support over the last seven years. We specifically want to recognize the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office for their exceptional work in solving this case. Now, as we navigate the next steps, we ask for privacy so that we can move forward as a family and heal together.”
