I was astounded to see one kid with this kind of teeth, I asked her mommy hesitantly if he eats too many candies or chocolates that he got teeth like this. His mommy told that she was worried too about it and after seeing his dentist she got to know that it is Nursing bottle caries. (dentist told her so) though she told me she had never introduced a bottle to her son, and breastfeeding for a long time is the reason. I was amazed as I heard you should b/f your kid as longest you can, but it has no validation. So I researched a lot about this topic on the internet.

Hence I came to conclude that it was due to not using an open cup at the initial age. We must start introducing open cups to our babies as early as we can. When their teeth start to come we must switch to an open cup gradually. I know it's hard to wean off bottles/ b/f as many kids are too addicted to them. What we can do least is to introduce an open cup every time you give them water to drink. This will develop a habit in them to drink from open cups. As practically I have gone through it. It's very difficult till 3 years to wean off bottles or b/f. Between 2-3 years we must start practising to wean off it. P.s:- I have shared what I faced. For validation, you must consult your dentist and take care of your Lil ones.
