Q1. Hello Dr, I missed baby’s vaccination due on 30th March because of lockdown, can I get her vaccinated after the lockdown?

Ans: Yes you can get the baby vaccinated after the lockdown. We have vaccination schedules for any missed vaccinations.

Q2. My two month’s baby’s vaccination has been delayed due to lockdown, her weight is 3 kg. We are using nasal drop if she gets clogged nose. is it right? 

Ans: Yes, you can use a nasal drop for the baby. You can schedule delayed vaccinations after the lockdown.

Q3. We couldn’t get the vaccination for our baby which was scheduled at 45 days due to lockdown, please suggest what to do?

Ans: Do not worry, you can get this vaccination at 2 months and afterwards at a schedule of 2 months. You can schedule this vaccination after 15 days now.

Q4. My one and half year old daughter has mucus problem what can I do?

Ans: Use nasal saline drop before breastfeeding and provide steam two-three times a day, she’ll get better in a few days.

Q5. My baby is 11 months now and weighs 6.1 kg. She hasn’t gained any weight for the last 4 months. She was 1.9 kg at birth. Also, she has a wheat allergy. Please suggest what to do to cure the allergy and increase her weight?

Ans: If wheat allergy has been confirmed by biopsy then both you and your baby will need to stick to a gluten-free diet. But do confirm with your doctor once. About the weight, babies gain weight at a faster rate for the first six months and the rate of weight gain slows down after that. But as you mentioned that baby weighed about 2 kg at birth, she should weigh around 7-8 kg now. You need to pay special attention to her diet.

Q6. Please give some tips on how to clean my baby’s tongue. Whenever I try to clean with a cotton cloth she shuts her mouth. She has a white layer on her tongue, please suggest something?

Ans: Avoid rubbing too much. Use the cloth to gently rub the tongue the white layer will go easily.

Q7. Why are my baby’s body and feet-soles are always warm?

Ans: This is normal, baby’s body and metabolism are like that.

Q8. My daughter is 6 years old and her hair is falling fast for the last one year

Ans: If her hair fall started all of a sudden it could be due to sickness. This can become normal after 5 or 6 months of development. If hair fall is happening at a specific area the reasons could be different. Use the hair oil to massage her hair regularly.
