How to Raise Happy and Gi ...
As parents, you would want your child to be happy, at peace and successful when he or she grows. But did you know that the seeds of these qualities are to be sowed early on in your child’s life? Here our pro-parent blogger Bhavana Khati shares few simple steps that will not only help you in shaping your child’s future but will also teach him or her true meaning of giving.
The habits you teach your child from a young age will become his or her gifts for life and he/she will forever be thankful to you. There are few such habits that you as parents need to teach your child so that your child can live happily and be at peace with himself or herself!
As a mother, you should always be close in your child's period in guiding him in a proper way. So, here are those habits you may teach your child. Let’s have a look...
1. To Save from the Pocket Money: If you are giving your child some amount of money as pocket money then you can teach him or her to save that money in a piggy bank for his or her later use. The habit of saving is one of the best learning you can give your growing child. As the child grows older there will be occasions when he or she is showered with money as blessings from the elderly people and this is where his/her habit of saving comes to his rescue.
2. Be Thankful to God: As a parent, you can once in a while take your child to a nearby orphanage so that he or she gets the idea of how the less fortunate children live and that he or she should be thankful to God every day and night.
3. Charity Begins at Home: Once in a month let them see you do one charitable act – it could be either donating your unused things, clothes or books and then encourage them to do so. Let them also take the initiative of donating their things to the less fortunate children. Not only will your child be immensely happy but the smile of the child receiving things will also be a pleasure.
4. Care for Others: Small gestures go a long way in teaching a child that he or she has a responsibility towards the environment as well. So involve your child when you are watering the plants, talk to him or her about the various species of a particular plant. Not only are you nurturing his or her quest for learning you are also instilling the care factor in the day-to-day routine. And the child learns that true happiness comes from giving.
You put your child into various activities from the age of three, so why not try this as well and see whether your child picks up the habit or not. He or she will be forever thankful to you and be always be happy.
