Home Remedies To Strength ...
Hair is not just an aspect of beauty in a person, but is also related to how hygienic you are. Hence it is very important that from a very young age care should be taken to keep the hair clean and we must instill this habit in our children too. Some children may be born with very thin hair but by the time they turn three, it covers their head, gets thicker, shinier and looks quite stylish. But, for this to happen, parents need to put in some effort.
It’s strange that while we as parents invest so much on our child’s clothes and grooming products, we don’t seem too bothered about their hair and its needs. But you’ll be surprised how beautiful, thick hair is possible even with the ingredients easily available in the kitchen. Let’s look at some home remedies to strengthen our child’s hair. It’s simple, non-fussy and the results are remarkable.
Before we begin on the home remedies it is important to understand that a good, balanced diet plays a very important role to make those tresses long and strong. So, any amount of external tips will work only if we get the right nutrients inside our body. Fresh fruits and vegetables (spinach, broccoli, lettuce), apples (rich in iron), citrus fruits (great source of Vitamin C), egg, fish, meat (high in protein), liver (rich in phosphorous), milk and yoghurt can do wonders to your hair. Besides, it is important that your child drinks plenty of water to keep the scalp hydrated and prevent dullness.
Having said this, let’s move on to explore the items in our kitchen that aids and strengthens hair growth.
Oil massage
Whether with coconut or olive oil does wonders to your child’s hair. You can prepare a special oil with select ingredients at home and apply them to your little one’s hair and see amazing results. All you need is 1 cup pure coconut oil, 1 teaspoon each of fenugreek seeds and black cumin seeds, 2 teaspoon dry amla powder, ½ cup sesame oil, 3-4 red hibiscus flowers, and I sprig curry leaves. Mix all the ingredients and heat them on low flame till it is reduced to 1/3. Let it cool, strain it and keep the oil in a clean bottle. Massage this on your child’s hair three times a week. Within a few days you will notice an increase in volume. (Source: http://www.ayushveda.com/magazine/tips-to-make-your-childrens-hair-thick-naturally/)
Remember, you must not wash your child’s hair everyday unless he/she plays a lot in the mud or sweats a lot. Always use a mild shampoo and never use dryers to dry their hair. When we were young, there was not much pollution and the food was unadulterated. But times have changed. Therefore it is important that we try our best to use items available at home for our child to get the best results. Use these home products and watch your baby’s hair grow and shine.
