December 16, 2013, was the day when the day’s identity changed. It was no longer a normal day, it became synonymous with Nirbhaya, & she became the daughter of the nation. For once the whole country seemed to have stood up to bring the much-needed change.

It has been seven years since, and the daughter who needed justice is yet to receive it. Nirbhaya’s mother Asha Devi’s fight continues for justice.
