Are We Raising Weak Children?

Every parent adores their child and wants the absolute best for them. But with changing times and the speed at which the world moves, an important question arises: Are we raising strong individuals... or emotionally fragile ones?
Read on to discover what entrepreneur Rajiv Khati has to say — and why his words are sparking serious conversations around modern parenting.
Rajiv Khati’s Take On Today’s Parenting Culture
In his recent post, Rajiv Khati highlighted a few alarming truths about how parenting has changed. Despite living in an era where learning anything is just a click away — be it a new skill, language, or life hack — he questions:
Why are our children turning into overthinkers instead of becoming truly intellectual and capable?
The 3 Primary Concerns:
1. Lack Of Proper Information
Despite having easy access to all kinds of information - be it through audiobooks, TED Talks, tutorials, etc, children lack basic information. Rajiv notes an absence: correct guidance, structure, and discipline. He compares it to an era where learning was with limitations, mentors, and actual-world application.
2. Absence of Practical Application
Children are constantly ingesting — stuffing their brains with information — but
doing nothing with it. Without putting what they have learned to the test of actual circumstances, they are Stagnant. Growth isn't knowledge. It's application.
3. A Poisonous Learning Culture
Rajiv condemns the current culture of book smarts. Yes, books are mighty — but only coupled with failure, friction, and feedback from the world we live in. He firmly says:
"We don't need smart people. We need strong people."
Parents must raise doers — mentally and physically resilient children who are unafraid to fail and can meet life challenges head-on. Intelligence isn't enough these days. Grit, tenacity, and strength of character are what will give children the upper hand in today's fast-changing, uncertain world.
