25% Reservation Rule in Tamilnadu RTE

According to the RTE Act, the government has given a ruling that 25% seats will be reserved in schools for students from weaker sections of the society. The official authority will be receiving the details of the vacant seat and these details will be updated online. Students who fall in the eligibility criteria will be given available seats. The selection process is based on the lottery system. The candidates who get selected will have to submit the required documents and will be given a date to report at the school.

What are the Documents required when registering for Tamilnadu RTE? When applying, you should have the following documents handy

1. Birth certificate & residence proof. Those who live on rent require to produce secondary Registrar registered certificates in the name of the house owner.

2. Socially deprived students (Certificate of the caste of parent & children also with a certificate of handicapped)

3. Financially weak students require Income certificate in the name of parent (Income should be less than 1 lakh rupees).
