Staphylococcus aureus is the bacteria that causes staph infection. It is present on the surface of the skin or inside the nose of individuals, in case of any cut or wound, these bacteria enter it and have the potential to create serious health issues and illness. These bacteria can gradually proceed from skin to the bloodstream and can cause contamination in blood, lungs, heart and other parts of the body.

How To Prevent Staph Infection:
- Instruct your kids to always wash hands properly with soap or hand wash after coming in contact with an unclean environment, playing with animals or pets, before eating food, after blowing nose and after playing with children
- In case of unavailability of hand wash, advise them to use sanitizers. Effective hygiene practices can always protect you from variety of diseases
- Educate your child to never share their personal utilities such as towel, handkerchief, clothes etc.
- The wound or cut should always be kept clean and covered with bandage until and unless it is completely healed
- Always keep in mind to protect your minor from sunburn or bug bites
- If your younger one is suffering from any skin problems or has dry skin, then use moisturiser suggested by the doctor
