Receiving unsolicited advice during pregnancy is something almost all women can relate to. Actress and mom-to-be Richa​ Chadha’s experience is no different. She recently stepped out to promote her upcoming web series, Heeramandi and went on to share her experience with pregnancy so far. Read on.

On How They’re Approaching Their First Step Into Parenting

Richa spoke about how she and husband, Ali Fazal are taking a relaxed approach to their new phase of life. She said, “Ali and I approach life with ease and fluidity. We're both thrilled about this new chapter. I've witnessed the strong women in my family balance motherhood and work seamlessly, so I'm inspired not to stress too much about it.”

On Juggling Work And Pregnancy

Richa, who has been promoting her upcoming show, Heeramandi while pregnant, reflected on the challenges of pregnancy that come with managing professional commitments. “I managed well. At the Sundance Film Festival earlier this year, only Ali and I knew about the pregnancy. It was tough due to the cold and uphill walks. But now, with my show's cast aware, they've been supportive and understanding. It's been smoother since going public, and I've worked hard on the show, so I wanted to be there to promote it.”

On Unsolicited Pregnancy Advice

Like many expectant mothers, Richa too shares how she has been inundated with advice from everyone. She shared, “When you are pregnant and it starts to show, it’s like an invitation for unsolicited advice from everywhere, everyone has experienced this in some way, or they have had it happen in the family. Everyone has an experience in this regard which they want to share.” 

On Whether Husband Ali Fazal Is Ready For Fatherhood

Richa showered high praise upon her husband Ali Fazal, saying, “I am blessed to have a partner like him. Whenever anyone says anything good about Ali, no one is ever surprised because he is that person. He is a man of character, as involved in the house as I am. Now that he will have a family of his own, he is very excited. I think he will make an incredible father.”
