No More Diaper Woes for me and My Baby..

Being a mother is all about doing the best for your child…isn’t it? One of the most important things for working mothers like me is to have that peace of mind (especially when leaving home) that my baby is happy and comfortable in my absence – and baby’s comfort has a lot to do with diaper comfort. Since I leave Yeshvika, my 9-month-old daughter, with a caretaker, one of my main concerns is whether the diaper has been changed on time or not; the first thing I do - without fail - when I get home is to check my daughter’s bottoms for any rash-like thing!

So naturally I’m on a lookout for the best in diaper comfort at pharmacy stores that shelf diapers. It has now been just 3 days-4 nights that I have been using Pampers new diapers, and before I share my experience, I would first like to share a secret wish that I’ve nurtured since I became a mom: It’s been my wish to cuddle Yeshvika and sleep peacefully through the night and I mean “through the night”. None of the diapers till now have given me that full-night sleep luxury. I always get up 1-2 times a night to change my daughter’s diapers, which obviously disturbs her sleep as well. And then we both wake up in the morning, feeling not-so-fresh.

Guess what? My secret wish came true

The first night with Pampers Baby Dry Pants went like this: Around 8 pm on a Saturday night, I bathed Yeshvika and dressed her for the night, and put on the new Pampers Pants. On first touch, the diaper actually felt softer than the others from inside as well as the waist. After I put her to sleep, my husband and I fixed some dinner and called it a day.

Before shutting eye, sometime around 11 pm, I woke my daughter for a feed, and this is the time I usually change her diaper too. But, the new Pampers felt so light and comfortable that I just fed her and put her back to sleep.

Now my mother-brain was quite restless as I had not changed her diaper, and at about 1 am, I checked again. The diaper still did not feel heavy and Yeshvika was sleeping peacefully. As was my habit, I couldn’t help but check again at 4 am – it was still okay! I fed her at 6 am, and both of us slept off again (It was a Sunday so I happily tucked into bed again). It was about 8:30 am when Yeshvika woke up and that’s when I changed her diaper. I was expecting the diaper area to be wet, but I was pleasantly surprised (and relieved!) to find that her diaper area was as nicely dry as could be! Any mom would relate to my inner joy at that moment!

And yes – my secret wish had been heard! Adding to my delight was the fact that my daughter was not irritated; on the contrary, she woke up rested, smiling and looked as fresh as a daisy!

The next night, I decided not to check and worry myself on the diaper front, and we both slept the entire night, only waking up for the feeds as per routine. Yeshvika once again woke up happy, fresh and energetic. What more could I possibly ask for – my diaper woes were gone – for good!

I can’t thank Pampers enough – for the nights that I sleep and the days I work without worrying about my daughter’s bottom getting rash or something. And the best part, of course, is the gleaming, happy face I see every morning and evening. Since Yeshvika sleeps well at night and during her daytime naps, she is now chirpy and playful when I get back from office and we are creating happier memories together.
