A lot of Muslims regard this Friday as one of the most holy days in the calender and spend a lot of time praying, reciting the Quran, doing good deeds; all seeking forgiveness from the Almighty.

Despite all its auspiciousness and importance, Juma’ah- tul-Wida puts us in a feeling of both eagerness and regret. On one hand we are proud of passing divine exams and fulfilling the commandments of Almighty by fasting during Ramadan, but on the other hand we are truly sorry for missing the period full of the blessings and assistance of Almighty. By the arrival of Eid al-Fitr, Ramadan will end and it's departing is well felt by those who experienced the pleasure of fasting, breathed in the blissful and compassionate atmosphere of this month, and who were relieved of evils of the devil.

However, the best thing we could do on this occasion is to take an account of ourselves. We need to do an evaluation of where we stand now after remaining hungry and thirsty for so long. We should introspect what good we have achieved and what evil that still remains.

So let's bid farewell to the holy month on this Juma’ah- tul-Wida.

Juma’ah- tul-Wida 2018 may fall on 08th June or it might be on 15th June (if the crescent moon is not sighted on the evening of 14th June)

Stay blessed everyone !
