Anny Divya, youngest woman pilot to captain Boeing 777
It's assumed that to be a pilot, you probably need to have a rich father who bought your way to the flight school. Anny was born to a lower-middle-class family and the family had its share of financial limitations. But she had solid support from her father all the way.
She joined the Indira Gandhi Rashtriya Uran Akademi, a Government-run pilot training institute in Raebareli, Uttar Pradesh, straight after school. Her father took a bank loan to pay the ₹15 lakh tuition fee for the two-year course.
All this won't have been possible without the unconditional support from this special ‘him”, who defied many odds to help his daughter achieve her dreams.
