Karan Veer Mehra’s Childhood Tragedy: How His Mother Became His Strength

Born in Delhi, Karan Veer Mehra started his career in the Indian Television Industry in 2005 with Remix. Although having worked in many shows, he eventually rose to fame after winning Fear Factor: Khatron Ke Khiladi Season 14. Currently, a participant and a strong contender in Big Boss 18, Karan Veer Mehra has seen a lot of ups and downs in life, however, his mother has constantly been on his side, supporting him throughout. When Karan Veer Mehra Lost His Father

Karan lost his father, Rajeev Mehra when he was just 10. He shared the emotional experience with Shehzada Dhami, a co-contestant on Big Boss. Karan opened up about not crying when it happened and recalled how deeply it affected him. ‘He was very loving,’ Karan shared. 

Later, Karan recalled that there was one moment when he couldn't hold back his tears. Just Two days before his death, Karan's father cut his mustache by mistake and when Karan joked about it, he said that it would grow back in two days. When Karan was asked to bid a final farewell to his father, he noticed that his mustache hadn’t grown back, and that is when she started to cry. 

How Karan’s Mom Became His Strength

Karan also talked about his mother’s role in his life and how she never let him feel that he was being raised without a father. He revealed, "But meri mom ne na, jisse kehte hain na ek percent ki bhi kami nahi hone di. Abhi woh dekh rahi hongi na yeh toh ro rahi hongi dabaa ke. Ye cheezein sun ke mere se. Kyunki aaj tak humne kabhi in cheezon par baat bhi nahi kari hai.”

("But my mom, you know, she made sure that not even one percent of anything was lacking. She must be watching this right now, and probably crying, after seeing me talk about these things. Because we’ve never talked about such things before.")

Karan Admits To Giving His Mom A Hard Time

In a conversation with another Bog Boss contestant Chum Darang, when she asks him why he seems so lost in the game, Karan admitted to giving his mom a very hard time and this game being his chance for redemption. 

Special Birthday Wish For Karan From Mom

Karan celebrated his birthday in the Big Boss House recently. His mother shared a beautiful message to wish him and tell him how proud he made her. The message read, “Happy, Happiest birthday my bachu. Love you so much, and I’m so so proud of you. Praying to god to give you the strength to continue to play brilliantly till the trophy comes home, touchwood. Love you and god bless you. Happy birthday once again”
